You've got an operation to run and it's the busy holiday season: How can you stay on top of emerging food, beverage, and operational trends for 2025?

In Trends 2025: The playbook for hospitality-driven businesses, Entegra shares top tips on what you need to know to power ahead with confidence into 2025. And yes, budget-minded customers are top of mind.

F&B trends 2025

Here are five F&B trends to tap into, ideally with the help of Entegra culinarians and the Entegra Culinary Consulting team:

  • A graphic entitled "Words Matter" says that 41% more customers choose the same dish when "vitamin-rich" was used versus "reduced sodium," a quote attributed to Sustainable Eating: Pulling the levers in Foodservice, a report commissioned through the WWF Sodexo partnership.Functional food and beverages: Consumers are eager to go beyond basic nutrition towards vitamins, minerals and probiotics that enhance well-being. Score the right dish or drink and leverage them for public relations and social media buzz.
  • Plant-forward and alternative proteins: Both dietary preferences and environmental concerns fuel this ongoing trend: The creative possibilities to delight customers are endless.
  • Get “swicy”! Consumers are loving the blend of sweet and spicy (swicy!). Be sure to have heat- and sweet-forward recipes and ingredients on your menus.
  • Value-focused features: Shape up a profitable happy hour and run it 2x/day – think 4pm-5pm and again at 9pm-10pm. Provide vouchers for future discounts to spur loyalty. Stay affordable while maintaining high quality. Everyone wins!
  • On-the-go snacking, breakfast, and brunch: Between the increase in weight loss drugs, eating out less, and budget-conscious diners, 2025 is a great time to meet consumers where they are. Whether you develop grab ‘n go solutions, create a smoothie station or double down on breakfast or brunch, think light and early.
